MeetingWarning is a Mac menu bar app that shows a full-screen alert before your meetings. It's made by Raging Waters Tech Labs SL, a company registered in Spain (“we”). This page explains what the app and this website do with your data. The short version: your calendar data comes from Google or from your Mac's Calendar app, and it stays on your Mac.
The app
- No MeetingWarning servers. The app talks directly to Google and reads the Mac's own Calendar app. Nothing you do in it is sent to us.
- No accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party code that tracks you.
- Your settings stay on your Mac: lead time, rules, keywords, which calendars are on, and the meetings you skip or mute (stored by the meeting's internal ID, not its contents). Deleting the app deletes them.
Google Calendar data
When you connect a Google account, you sign in on Google's own page and Google asks you to allow MeetingWarning to see your calendars and events. The access is read-only: MeetingWarning can't create, change or delete anything in your calendar.
What the app reads:
- Your list of calendars (name, color, whether it's your main calendar), so you can choose which ones trigger alerts.
- Today's and tomorrow's events on the calendars you turned on: title, start and end time, status, whether you accepted or declined, the number of other attendees, whether it's marked busy or free, its event type (for example focus time or out of office), and the call link in the event's conference details, location or description.
- Your Google account's email address, to label the account in Settings.
How it's used: only to decide whether a meeting should show an alert and to show it, with a button that opens the call link. Event details are kept in the app's memory while it runs and refreshed every couple of minutes. They're not written to disk, not sent to us, and not shared with anyone.
Sign-in tokens: Google gives the app a token so it can keep reading your calendar without asking you to sign in again. It's stored in your Mac's Keychain and is sent only to Google.
Removing access: click Disconnect next to the account in MeetingWarning's Settings. That revokes the token with Google and deletes it from your Keychain. You can also remove access at any time from your Google Account permissions.
MeetingWarning's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't use Google user data for advertising, we don't sell it, we don't use it to train AI or machine-learning models, and no person at Raging Waters Tech Labs SL reads it.
Calendar app data (iCloud, Exchange, Outlook and others)
If you turn on Use calendars from the Calendar app, macOS asks whether MeetingWarning may access your calendars. With your permission, it reads the same kinds of details listed above (title, times, status, your response, attendee count, busy or free, and any call link in the event's URL, location or notes) for the calendars you turn on, for today and tomorrow. This covers every account in System Settings → Internet Accounts, such as iCloud, Microsoft 365, Exchange and Outlook.com.
MeetingWarning never creates, changes or deletes events. The data is used only on your Mac, the same way as Google data, and is never sent to us or anyone else. You can turn this off in MeetingWarning's Settings, or remove access in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.
Buying MeetingWarning
MeetingWarning is sold through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the purchase, and we don't receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple's privacy policy covers that part.
This website
meetingwarning.app is a plain static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to download them and Google receives your IP address and browser details, as with any site you visit. See Google's privacy policy. Cloudflare may keep standard server logs to run and protect the site.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a change affects what the app does with your Google data, the app will tell you before it applies.
